What this tool is for

Suno reads bracketed section tags in the lyrics box — but only when they use square brackets and names it recognises. Lyrics from translations, regional apps or AI output often use local labels: Chinese [主歌], Japanese 【サビ】, Spanish [Estribillo], French [Couplet], Russian [Припев], and odd brackets like 【】 or （）. This tool maps those to standard English so Suno treats them as real section cues.

Only tags change

Conversion only touches bracketed text that matches a known section name. Your actual lyric lines — and bracketed asides the tool does not recognise (like background vocals (ooh)) — are left exactly as they are.

What to review after conversion

Read the normalized tag outline from top to bottom and check that each mapped label still matches the song. Translation can identify a common section name, but it cannot decide whether a passage should really be a pre-chorus, hook or bridge. Unrecognized bracketed text remains in place for that reason.

The tool changes known bracketed labels, not the lyric lines beneath them. Once the section names are consistent, use the lyrics diff to compare revisions or the structure tag helper to insert missing sections. Keep a copy of the source draft when the original language labels matter to collaborators.
