Build a prompt from a song brief
A brief explains the song a person wants. A prompt selects the audible constraints Suno can act on. Learn to move from an idea, through a short cue list, into one coherent direction.
What you will learn
Translate human goals into musical jobs
- Extract required genre, singer, instrument, mood, motion, structure, and production cues.
- Separate hard constraints from supporting preferences and empty praise.
- Write the cue inventory before writing the final prompt.
- Compress the inventory without dropping a requirement or repeating one job.

Useful human context, but several musical decisions remain hidden.
Each phrase now controls an audible dimension.
These choices turn the situation into a musical lane.
The final line keeps required jobs and removes commentary.

Genre + vocal + core instruments + mood and motion + section change + production.
Example: cinematic indie folk, warm baritone lead, fingerpicked guitar verse, cello entering in the pre-chorus, wide strings and backing harmonies in a hopeful chorus, moderate tempo, raw lightly saturated production, close dry verse opening into a spacious plate-reverb chorus.
The order is a readability aid, not a magic formula. Coherence comes from compatible jobs and clear priorities.

- Assemble and read the prompt once for conflicts.
